In the great novel by Michael Ende, Momo, the city is invaded by the greyness of the cement of large buildings and has destroyed all the surrounding greenery. A real war on Nature. The novel written more than forty years ago imagined what for us today is considered a normality. It is the polluted and sick world in which we find ourselves living.

And it is this anxiety that is linked to the reflection on time that we are not using to improve the almost irreparable damage we have inflicted on Nature and therefore on ourselves. Unaware of wasting time. A time that can no longer turn back and so start making strong decisions and measures.

Each of us should play the role of Momo, deciding on how to use and invest his time for a common good.

I find that the novel can offer a contemporary view of the world and the period we are currently experiencing; in this continuous frenzy, we should perhaps stop for a moment and look around at the kind of evolution we have decided to undertake, because this time will never be returned to us.

A volcano that covers Europe with ashes, a tsunami that floods Southeast Asia, a hurricane that devastates the Caribbean. These are just three examples of out-of-touch forces of nature. At the same time our need for the unadulterated is getting bigger, the idyll is an ideal that the masses are looking for. We have created a paradoxical world in which we destroy by loving. The matter seems to slip away from us.

The title of the evening is inspired by the eponymous Indonesian volcano. Its eruption in 1815 had a temporary global impact on the climate.

Human beings are in constant search; we invent, we try to find new ideas to adapt in every contest but likewise we destroy.
We do not notice how much impact we are having on our planet. The same planet that we call “home”.
Nature is already having its counter-response and its “adaptation” to all the transformations that man is imposing on it.

If we think of the same four seasons, we can now say that there is no longer an exact order.
Warm winters, stormy summers and almost no springtime, are all causes of perpetually increasing pollution. Pollution due to the hand of the same man, who continues to be superficial on the consequences that it may cause.

The premiere is scheduled for 11th January 2019 at the National Theater Mannheim.

Identity in our time is something that is growing and adapting with the new generation and the new way of living the life.

Before in the ‘90 everybody was trying to find is own identity. Now we are constantly imitate the best prototype or the one that is been considerate the leader of the moment. In every single minute somebody can touch the top and be the’one’ just by posting online whatever pass in his brain. We are so busy to reach the momentary glory that we forget to find our own real identity.

In a world full of loneliness identities, we will end to be full of empties personality or a copy of a copy of somebody else?

The premiere is scheduled for 15th April 2019 at the Music Biennale in Zagabria.
